Learn to illustrate and animate!
Learn all about film shot composition, storyboarding, and visual storytelling by designing a superhero character, and making your own comic book and digital animation! Participants will improve their drawing skills through the staging and drafting of an original visual story concept they create on paper. Participants will dive into drawing techniques and create original characters, personalities. Next, the comic will be translated into a digital drawing, as kids learn to bring their comic to life using Procreate! Kids will learn frame-by-frame animation and bring their animation to life with digital animation! Finally, children will have the opportunity to design and build their very own character costume, and film a short component of their story.
Ages: 7 – 13 (broken up by age)

A 2-week master class, beginners to advanced welcome!
This in-depth, hands-on, two-week class is for the passionate movie maker, focusing on advanced pre-production, production, and post-production techniques used by industry professionals. This camp takes a deeper look at creative expression through film, and what its like to work on a real Hollywood production. Using professional studio equipment, students learn the fundamentals of visual storytelling as they work on a production team to create one short film over 2-weeks. Campers will break into CK Departments for pre-production, production, and post-production working and collaborating with other like-minded children. Upon registration, you will receive a form where your child will select their focuss for the week. Join a department, and learn the ins and outs of being part of the team! Every child will have the opportunity to try everyting, but will choose main focuses.
Departments are as follows:
Pre-Production: Art Direction:set design&costumes, Scriptwriting&Acting , Storyboarding&Cinematography, Directing&Producing
Production: Lighting, Cinematography, Acting, Directing, Props&Costumes, Special Effects
Post-Production: Editing, Motion Graphics, Sound/Foley&Music Production, Marketing&Promotion
Ages: 9 – 15 (broken up by age)
